GEN-Z

Born between 1996 and 2010, GEN-Z is the first generation in recorded history
to NOT know life without the internet. The ubiquitous influence of technology,
namely smart devices, social media and the internet itself,
earns them the moniker “Digital Natives.”

AN EMPOWERED GENERATION IN ACTION

Clearly there are many benefits to the digital technologies our society has created to date. For example GEN-Z loves social media, and they benefit greatly from it, but no one prepared them for the consequences involved. To their credit, however, they are figuring it out on their own. They are aware of things like “addiction to technology” and how the overarching power of “social pressure and social conformity” influences their daily lives. They are experiencing fist-hand just where this leads— social envy, identity crisis, high anxiety, clinical depression and attention deficit disorder (ADD) just to name a few. However, GEN-Z is NOT waiting around for someone to tell them what to do. They seem totally capable of dealing with these issues head-on, and  they’re not stopping at social media.

Action Oriented

GEN-Z is demonstrating advanced levels of “problem solving skills” across the board.
For some time now, they have been publicly declaring that they intend to solve some of the world’s biggest problems, and they are doing it! You can see some astonishing examples below, and one playful one, with professional dancer Maddie Ziegler showing how easily she can master the classic dance steps from generations past.
